Alexis in 'Lysistrata' - UC Berkeley

At UC Berkeley, I played the role of Alexis/Old Woman in the immersive theater production of Lysistrata. I joined the project because I wanted to be part of a performance that centers queer spaces and the search for community in a world that often suppresses self-expression. Through my character—an experienced protester observing the new wave of activists—I aimed to highlight the tension of navigating love and attraction to someone with different ideas about maintaining social order. In this role, I explored themes of sexuality, seduction, and the inner conflict of wanting to participate in the revolution while also feeling exhaustion from the struggle.
