'Trader Hoes', GARB-AGE Runway - GARB Berkeley

The Garb “Garb-age” fashion show at UC Berkeley was a student-run sustainable fashion event focused on upcycling and challenging fast fashion’s wasteful culture.

I was both a designer and model for my concept, the “Trader Hoes” outfit, made entirely from Trader Joe’s discarded packaging. Through this look, I critiqued how “sexy” attire like mini skirts or showing cleavage is often unfairly labeled as “trashy” or unprofessional, challenging societal judgments about appearance.
